Please add this feature, this is really needed to save time editing!

Hey OpusClip team,

I wanted to add my voice to the request for playback speed controls in the editor (1.25x, 1.5x, 2x).

Right now, the lack of this feature literally makes me spend almost twice the time editing clips. When I’m fixing captions or reviewing a clip, I’m forced to watch everything at 1x, or export it to another editor just so I can review it faster — then bring it back into OpusClip. That extra step alone doubles the time spent per clip.

If playback speed was adjustable inside the editor, it would:

Cut caption-editing time in half

Remove the need for external editors

Make high-volume clipping actually sustainable

Even editor-only speed control (no change to export speed) would completely solve this problem.

I really like OpusClip overall — this is just one missing feature that has a big day-to-day impact. Judging by the existing votes and comments, I’m clearly not the only one feeling this.

Not having this option means that we need to use another video editor before uploading the clip for mass programming on the platforms, a lot of waste of time

I agree and they should let us publish the videos with playback speed at like x1.1 for more retention

That would be perfect, because I only edit at 2x or 4x speed on Flmora.

Please add playback speed controls!!

Possibility to modify to 1.25x, 1.5x and 2x. This would help speed up the process of editing the clip, especially when correcting the subtitles manually.
