I should be able to duplicate, or delete video as is standard in video editing software independent of stream audio/video to apply it elsewhere on the timeline. There should be an option to 'Expert Mode' for this purpose, if nothing else (easier for you to do, I think.) And then simply allow duplication of existing visuals from one segment of video to be applied to another.
