Extending the video time before and after the selected clip

Is there a way to extend the video time to what comes just before and after the selected clip? Often times it stops just short of a concept that is necessary to complete the thought. A feature that allows for manually extending the clip beyond the selected section would easily fix this issue.

Chillz: Hi Chillz, extending before & after the selected clip is supported in the current version. You can do it by clicking on the desired starting or ending word in the editor. Are you aware of it?

Libby: Yeah, but that's not the function/feature we need.
I need to be able to pull 30-60 seconds from before what the AI has clipped in total.
For example: 60 seconds before: "Luke here at the octoboys"

For example: I upload 15min clip of comedian doing stand up.
It clips it into however many 60 second clips.
I can than use editor 2.0 to go into a clip and extend the start or finish wherever I want?
That would be ideal.
Kinda wild to create a platform without that function tbh haha

Sometimes the clip does not have all the text completing a thought or concept. It would be nice to be able to select and extend a clip.

You should be able to extend them already. Click "Edit" - > "Caption" - > Hover over a specific word to select a new start. We are working on Manual trimmer & extender v2 to provide more content in the beginning and at the end of selected clip.

Rayna Lyu: Sometimes we need content not appearing in captions, so would be nice to have 1 minute before and 1 minute after the current AI selection available so we can edit it and complete a missing concept.

Rayna Lyu: 100% we need to be able to grab 1-2mins from the start and end of what the AI clips ASAP.
I'll move all my business & like 50-100 creators in my agency over to Opus immediately.
At present, from a 15min video of a stand up comedian, it'll clip like 5-7 or whatever, but each clip is missing something important either start/finish/both.
Especially the end, as it usually misses the punchline / best bit.
