Precisely trim clips

I have not been able to trim clips, only cut them and deleting the clip before or after the cut. Sometimes, the auto-reframed clip starts a frame to early or to late, I can't seem to find the tool to fix this one single frame.

Yes, so true. I'm glad we have XML export and have used it, but would like Opus to add such features that we would not need to export to a pro NLE to finish the videos.
Also let us slide the B Roll and time it differently as well as let us trim or expand the length.

Having AI edit the clips also would be insanely helpful.

Hi Patrick, are you aware of the trim and extend feature? They allow you to add a few sentences or delete a few at the beginning and the end of the clip. You can find it in the caption page of editing.

Juntao Xie: The treatment of only being able to trim based on omitting words is not sufficient—sometimes there is extra dead or weird space that needs cutting off.
This happened to me this week, where after the last word the speaker does some moving and shifting and there is dead space.
We need to be able to trim the actual video clip manually to make it tight. The word omission method gets us close, which is nice, but it's not enough.
In this case I had to download the video and trim it using another tool on my computer, then publish it.
The basic premise here is that Opus needs to fill the role of a basic video editor for users, and the simplest feature that all video editors have is "trim" (even Quicktime player has that). I can probably think of a few other features that would round out Opus nicely (another time).
Thank you so much for considering this! And all the best. 🙂

Drew Clifton: 100% agree. I just generated my 18 first videos and I can't use any of them because there are huge pause between phrases

Juntao Xie: Trim and extend feature is not enough I need access to the entire clip. I've even used the credits to regenerate clips to get ones I want. There are just some things the Ai doesn't catch or recognize that I want to add myself. I don't really want to go to another software either though because I value this one and its features. Please push this feature ASAP or at least allow a regeneration of a clip without costing credits.
