Move Captions and Apply to ALL
in progress
Lao Karun
I'm so glad this one is in progress!
My wife is a pro member and I noticed that every week she spends a lot of time (hours) editing her shorts.
When I looked at what she was doing, she was manually moving the captions to specific regions on her YouTube shorts clips. Each short looks to have at least 20 clips so that's 20 manual repositions! I asked her if Opus can simply apply a
specific
caption position to all clips and she said "no, it only allows default top middle of bottom positions to all clips". I couldn't believe it.
I checked on YouTube to see what others said, and then came to the main site and read the help pages to be doubly sure and unfortunately, it's true, you can't batch move captions to a specific position!
It pains me to see her working so hard on something Premier Pro can do in one click, so I'm glad to hear the Dev team are working on it!
I also think this will improve the customer experience for so many other users who need that level of precision across all of their clips
A big thanks to the Dev team, your update means so much!

in capcut theres a toggle that is "apply to all captions" so that when you manipulate the captions whether its to move them or change their color etc. you can just change the currently selected caption or all. it could be done like that.

Thanks so much and can you share where it is on the roadmap?
Even a rough estimate would help.

The "bottom" caption placement also is covered by an Instagram or Facebook caption in the app, so it becomes hard to read. Would love to be able to shift all of them up.
