USER STORY
As a creator publishing at scale across multiple platforms, I want to define a persistent daily posting schedule (specific times, multiple posts per day, selected days of the week) that runs continuously, independent of any individual bulk upload, so that I can simply add approved clips into the next available slot without constantly managing batch boundaries.
THE PROBLEM
The current bulk upload scheduling system is only marginally better than posting manually.
Right now:
-- I have to estimate how long a bulk run will last
-- I have to constantly flick back and forth between screens to check what’s already scheduled
-- I have to monitor when a bulk run ends
-- I have to manually start a new bulk run to avoid gaps
-- I’m effectively keeping track (in my head) of which days and times are already filled
This creates unnecessary cognitive load and makes scheduling feel fragile instead of reliable.
Bulk scheduling assumes finite batches.
Real creators operate on continuous pipelines.
WHAT’S MISSING
What’s needed is a persistent scheduling layer that is not tied to clip batches.
Specifically:
-- A global or per-platform schedule:
---- Post at specific times
---- Support multiple posts per day
---- Selectable days of the week
-- A running queue that never “ends”
-- The ability to move fluidly between clip projects and:
---- Click a clip
---- Add it directly to the next available slot(s) in the schedule
-- Visual status indicators on clips to clearly show:
---- Already posted
---- Already scheduled
---- Not yet used
-- Clear visibility of:
---- What’s already scheduled
---- What slots are coming up next
---- Where a newly added clip will land before confirming
WHY THIS MATTERS
For creators posting frequently, scheduling is not a one-off task.
It is an ongoing operational workflow.
Without a persistent schedule:
-- You’re forced to group clips from the same video together
-- You risk flooding your audience with multiple sequential uploads from a single source
-- You can’t easily interleave clips from different projects across the week
Being able to hop between projects and selectively feed the schedule allows creators to:
-- Pace content intelligently
-- Maintain audience interest
-- Avoid algorithm fatigue
-- Treat clips as a content library rather than a batch
THE VALUE
This turns scheduling from:
-- “Start a batch, flick between screens, hope it lines up, babysit the end”
Into:
-- “Approve clips across projects, drop them into the machine, walk away”
It reduces mental overhead, prevents mistakes, and allows Opus Clip to scale with serious creators rather than fighting them.
If you’re posting daily or multiple times per day, this is not an edge case.
This is the normal use case.
+1 if you want Opus Clip to support real-world creator workflows, not just batch uploads.
