Hello OpusClip Support Team,
I am already using OpusClip extensively for my YouTube content workflow and have connected my social media accounts for automatic publishing.
The YouTube Auto Import feature is very useful, because it removes the need to manually paste every new YouTube video into OpusClip.
However, there is one important limitation in the current Auto Import workflow:
It is currently not possible to define and save a custom clipping prompt that should automatically be applied to every imported YouTube video.
For my workflow, this is essential.
I would like to configure the Auto Import feature once with a permanent custom prompt, for example with rules such as:
  • All generated clips must be in Turkish.
  • All subtitles must be in Turkish.
  • Any automatically generated hook or headline shown at the beginning of the clip must also be in Turkish.
  • Clips must contain complete thoughts.
  • Do not cut off sentences, explanations, conclusions, or key takeaways.
  • Avoid abrupt or unfinished endings.
  • If necessary, extend the clip slightly so that the speaker can finish the complete idea.
  • Prioritize clarity and completeness over aggressive shortening or virality.
  • Use my selected Brand Template automatically.
My ideal workflow would be:
New YouTube video published
→ automatically imported into OpusClip
→ automatically processed using my saved custom prompt and Brand Template
→ clips automatically created
→ clips automatically added to my publishing queue
→ automatically distributed according to my predefined posting schedule.
For example, I would like OpusClip to automatically publish three clips per day to my connected Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts accounts without requiring me to manually open and schedule every new project.
This would turn Auto Import into a truly zero-touch content repurposing workflow.
At the moment, Auto Import already solves the import step very well, but without the ability to save a custom prompt, I still lose important control over language, hooks, clip endings, and content quality.
I believe a “Saved Custom Prompt” or “Default ClipAnything Prompt” option inside the Auto Import settings would be extremely valuable for many creators who use OpusClip as an automated repurposing system.
Could you please let me know:
  1. Whether this is already possible somewhere in the current product,
  2. whether there is an existing workaround,
  3. and whether this feature is planned for a future update?
