OpusClip Feature Requests

In Text Overlay settings when adding text, the Input box has characters that DO NOT erase when you start typing into the box, and have to be manually deleted. The annoying message is "Add Headings". This should delete as soon as the mouse enters the text box.

Most of the time the auto feature just shoves the entire video including caption to the top third of the screen for no reason. I have to go through and manually edit which is the opposite of why I bought this program.

How about the opusclips knows to remove those post options (and grey them out, with an info mark for more info on why) as soon as the limit is exceeded (/or prior to, when attempted?

The scrollbars throughout the site are too small and lack color contrast, making them nearly impossible to see. I would love to see the ability to switch from dark to light mode as well as to increase visibility of scrollbars and navigation.

As is well known, the text length in “X” is limited. The preview texts automatically generated by OpusClip are often too long and exceed the allowed length and must then be reworked by hand. It would be a great help and save a lot of time if you adjusted the length of the preview texts to “X” accordingly. Funnily enough, the preview texts generated for TikTok or YouTube are often shorter (although this restriction doesn't seem to exist there). Thank you and greetings Detlev Heil-Wulf

your amazing tool understand hebrew, and even writes the subtitles - but they are placed back words... meaning - if the video is saying "it was great" it shows in "great was it" if this will be fixed - for sure i'll use it tnx

Right now, if I upload a video and choose “Don’t Clip”, OpusClip charges 1 credit even though captions are free on the separate Free Captions page. This creates an unnecessary friction point: Free captions exist But users must leave the dashboard to access them Doing it inside the dashboard costs credits This punishes users for workflow convenience, not usage For creators who move fast, this is inefficient and feels like being charged for something OpusClip already offers for free. Proposed Solution: Enable the free captioning engine directly inside the main dashboard when someone selects “Don’t Clip.” No credits should be used, since the same service is already free elsewhere. Why This Matters: Improves workflow efficiency Reduces unnecessary navigation Avoids accidental or unintended credit usage Creates a consistent user experience Helps creators who need captions without wanting clips This small UX fix would solve a daily frustration and streamline the platform for creators who rely on captions as part of their content workflow.

Currently, projects on the Starter plan ($12/month) are automatically deleted after 30 days, even if the user is paying for a monthly subscription. This creates a bad user experience: people expect their work to remain safe while they keep paying. Please change this policy so that all active subscribers can store their projects indefinitely, without an expiration timer. Many users don’t create new clips every month — they simply want their existing projects to stay available. This would increase user satisfaction and also improve subscription retention. Thank you for considering this update.

When clips are "disliked", using the "Select All" button shouldn't select them.

I'm creating Latin based Gregorian Chant videos & cannot upload them to OpusClip without receiving the Language is not supported error. I'd love a workaround option as I've seen many other shorts of this nature on YouTube, thanks.
